new year eve delights

firstly, happy lunar new year to all the chinese reading my blog!
and happy public holidays to the rest! :*D

it has been a hectic and tiring saturday for me.
but it was definitely a very fruitful one!

i had a photoshoot with lawrence, darrel and alex in the morning.
and i also had cindy who skillfully made me up for the shoot. :)
thanks to all for making the photoshoot possible.

the photoshoot was in this abandoned HUGE mansion near botanical gardens.
it is alleged to be some malaysian sultan's old house, owned by the malaysian govt.
although it was old, burnt down and looks extremely rundown,
it is a gorgeous place - in certain aspects.

you will get what i mean soon.

the place was burnt down, and it takes around a good 10 mins to walk in from "civilisation".
and the path in was a trail surrounded by trees and fresh orange soil.

during the shoot, there was dead silence.
and it really freaked me out at certain points of time.
it rained for a while before the shoot,
and the house has peeling walls and leaking ceilings.
every single creak of wood will make my heart skip a beat or two.
and i'm mostly supposed to appear very solemn in the shots.

lawrence told me he shot some white shadow in one of his pictures.
BRR!
haha. and i'm praying so hard i don't see extra things as i scanned through these pictures.
lol.

i love the sombre atmosphere created in these pictures.
dead, serious, mysterious.
and in my opinion, every picture spells out a different kind of emptiness.

i took these from darrel's blog.
and you may view the rest of the better pictures HERE
i really like the one that i lie lifelessly on the torn yellow couch! :))
gees.
weett--!!

moving on, i met up with my family for reunion dinner.

here's dearest grandma.

and a ktv/pool/soccer/mahjong/drinking session all under one roof after dinner!
my family's favourite hangout - toa payoh SAFRA.
hahaha!

i like cheryl very much.
a very well mannered and caring lil girl.
she even prepared marshmallow sticks for everyone with her little (just as cute) sister, chermine! :D
how sweet ay?

and raylene, who is growing prettier and prettier day by day. :)

yang yang is so adorable! :)

the marshmallow stick heroes to your rescue! :*D
hehe!

i've been sniffing and sneezing this chinese new year.
it wasn't as enjoyable as it can be, but it was definitely good hanging out with family.
and of course, not forgetting the ang bao part.
lol.
and the gambling and beer everywhere. hahahaha!

pegs loves lunar new year lah. :p

ok its near Holland Road and Tyersall Avenue.

u got 'feel' meh? i tot tt dae u were waaaaay braver than me!

was gonna pass u the link to the full sized files (zipped) on my website, but didn't see u on MSN. Didn't want to post the link anywhere ... so if you want, can drop me an email at darrel@mirareste.com and I'll email u the link ;)

wah. totally heart those photos! PRETTY! (:

From Napier Road, turn into Tyersall Avenue, the first gate that u see will be the location. To reach the mansion, have to walk about 10 minutes from the gate.
